The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – History, Heritage & the WL Sleigh Experience

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo returns to Edinburgh Castle from 7–29 August 2026, with its new show “A Call to Gather.” This theme brings together clans, nations, allies and friends in a powerful celebration of global connection. Audiences can expect a dynamic, cinematic performance featuring international military bands, precision drill teams, dancers, storytelling, dramatic lighting, pyrotechnics and laser effects, with the Royal Air Force serving as the Lead Service for 2026. Tickets are already on sale, and with demand consistently high, early booking is strongly recommended.
