Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking. Full payment or approved credit arrangements are required prior to hire. Cancellations made within two weeks of the hire date are non-refundable. Chauffeur services include your driver, vehicle, fuel, and local taxes. Please inform us promptly of any flight changes. All bookings are subject to VAT and applicable local laws.

 

1. Payment

 

Full Payment: Unless credit terms are agreed in advance, full payment must be received before the start of hire.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is due when your tour is confirmed.

Credit Accounts: Businesses may apply for credit facilities (payment due within 14 days of invoice). Company details on headed stationery are required.

Credit Cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Full card details are needed when booking.

 

2. Cancellation Policy

 

Tours: Cancellations within 2 weeks – no refund.

Transfers: Cancellations within 24 hours – no refund.

Event Transport: Cancellations within 2 weeks – no refund.

Additional Services (Accommodation, Ferries, Green Fees, etc.): Each service may have its own terms and conditions.

Changes After Final Itinerary: An administration fee may apply for cancellations, amendments or added touring.

 

3. Chauffeur Drive Car Hire

 

Airport Transfers: Include parking and up to 30 minutes waiting time; extra charges apply after that.

Day Hire: Covers 8 hours unless otherwise stated.

In-Town Rates: Apply only within Edinburgh and Glasgow city centres.

If your chosen vehicle is unavailable, we’ll provide an upgrade at no extra cost.

All hire includes chauffeur, mileage, fuel, and local taxes.

Prices may be adjusted if travel plans or itineraries change.

In the event of a breakdown, we’ll arrange full recovery and a replacement vehicle as soon as possible.

 

4. Missed Flights & Delays

 

Please notify us immediately of any flight changes or delays.

Our chauffeurs will wait for delayed flights and adjust to revised arrival times.

If there is a “no show”, the full transfer fee will still be charged.

W L Sleigh Ltd cannot be held responsible for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g. traffic accidents, weather, police activity, or terrorism threats).

 

5. Client Property

 

All belongings are carried at your own risk.

Neither W L Sleigh Ltd nor our chauffeurs are responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

We recommend taking out suitable travel insurance for your luggage.

 

6. Third-Party Bookings

 

If you’re booking on behalf of someone else, it’s your responsibility to ensure they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

 

7. Taxes

 

All bookings are subject to current government taxes and VAT (20%).
